China's Simcere, through its oncology subsidiary Zaiming, has signed an exclusive global licence with Roche covering SIM0660, a CD79a×CD19×CD3 trispecific T-cell engager (TCE) built on Zaiming's proprietary TCE multispecific antibody platform, in a deal worth USD 75 million upfront and up to USD 1.53 billion in aggregate milestones plus tiered double-digit royalties on net sales.

Roche takes worldwide development, manufacturing, and commercialisation rights; Zaiming retains no co-development option, marking another Chinese-origin bispecific or trispecific TCE moving to a global major after similar recent transactions in CD3×BCMA and CD3×GPRC5D formats.

SIM0660 fuses a CD3 T-cell bridging arm with dual B-cell engagement via CD79a and CD19, a design intended to sharpen tumour selectivity and dampen cytokine release compared with CD19×CD3 or CD20×CD3 bispecifics, while addressing relapse mechanisms where CD19 or CD20 epitopes are lost. The asset targets both B-cell malignancies – frontline and relapsed or refractory lymphoma – and B-cell-driven autoimmune diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), where deep B-cell depletion without broad immunosuppression remains unsolved.
