China-based Inno Medicine has completed an RMB 800 million (USD 119 million) Series D round led by Yuanbio Venture Capital, earmarked for international multicentre clinical trials and global commercialisation of lead assets. The core pipeline is built on an active-targeting liposome delivery platform and features what the company describes as the world’s first active-targeting drug capable of reversing atherosclerotic plaques, which concentrates at plaque sites to drive anti-inflammatory effects and cholesterol reverse transport, with the Phase IIb registrational study PURIFY-TIMI 81 now recruiting across China, Australia, and the US, with Canada soon to follow.
A second platform asset, YN003, targets brain gliomas by crossing the blood-brain barrier (BBB) to concentrate in tumour tissue while limiting systemic toxicity, combining direct tumour-cell killing with immunogenic cell death to trigger durable antitumour immunity, and has secured both Fast Track designation and IND clearance for adult glioma in the US, adding to its 2023 orphan drug designation.
