China-based 3SBio, via its subsidiary Sunshine Guojian, has submitted an IND to its homeland's Centre for Drug Evaluation (CDE) for SSGJ-718, a first-in-class IL-23×TL1A bispecific antibody (BsAb) and the first candidate of this exact dual-target class to enter clinical filing globally.

According to PharmCube's NextBiopharm database, fifteen IL-23-plus-TL1A bispecific programmes are in active development, but only three target both IL-23 and TL1A directly – SSGJ-718, ADX-004 (Adaxion Therapeutics), and PR203 (Boan Biotech) – and SSGJ-718 is the sole entry to reach IND submission, ahead of ten IL-23p19×TL1A and two IL-12p40×TL1A constructs.
