METiS Therapeutics has listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX) with the ticker 07666.HK, raising over HKD 2.1 billion (USD 271 million) in the largest healthcare IPO on the exchange this year. The offering was priced at HKD 10.50 per share and saw record-breaking demand, with its Hong Kong public offering oversubscribed by over 6,900 times. The company is now positioned as the world's first publicly traded AI-driven nano-delivery platform company and the first AI biologics firm on the Hong Kong market.
The company's core asset is its proprietary NanoForge platform, which includes a library of over 10 million diverse lipids and AI tools for designing small-molecule formulations (AiTEM), LNP delivery systems (AiLNP) and mRNA sequences (AiRNA). METiS has over 10 pipeline candidates targeting organs including the liver and lungs. Its lead asset, MTS-004 for pseudobulbar affect, is the first AI-designed formulation drug in China to complete Phase III trials. The IPO proceeds will primarily fund further platform development and the advancement of its internal pipeline.
