Ark Biosciences has submitted a Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX) listing application with J.P. Morgan and CITIC Securities as joint sponsors, seeking funding to advance its respiratory and paediatric medicine pipeline led by RSV treatment ziresovir. The company's new drug application (NDA) for ziresovir in infants aged 1 to 24 months is under review by China's National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) following breakthrough therapy designation (BTD). Ark's pipeline comprises six candidates including AK0610 for RSV prevention, AK3280 for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) and Commave-licensed AK0901 for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
Founded in 2013, Ark holds global rights to ziresovir through licensing agreements with Roche involving USD 1 million upfront and USD 9.6 million in milestone payments. The company completed Series D funding in 2022 at RMB 4.69 billion valuation. Ark reported losses of RMB 270 million in 2023 and RMB 197 million in 2024 with no commercial products yet launched.
