China-based Trinomab has listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange Science and Technology Innovation Board (STAR Market) at an issue price of RMB 14.46 per share, closing its first trading session up 211.89%. The company's lead commercial asset, siltartoxatug, is a first-in-class fully human anti-tetanus monoclonal antibody (mAb) and the first domestic innovative biologic in the infectious disease field to receive Breakthrough Therapy Designation (BTD) from China's Centre for Drug Evaluation (CDE). It displaces century-old reliance on equine or human blood-derived antitoxins for passive immunisation against tetanus.
Trinomab's proprietary HitmAb platform supports high-throughput generation of fully human mAbs, with a pipeline spanning infectious diseases and pain. The strong market reception reflects investor confidence in blood-product substitution therapies, where safety, batch consistency, and supply stability offer clear advantages over plasma-derived alternatives. Proceeds from the IPO are expected to fund pipeline expansion, manufacturing scale-up, and broader commercialisation beyond the established tetanus franchise.
