Moderna and MSD have reported that intismeran autogene (individualised mRNA neoantigen therapy) combined with Keytruda met both recurrence-free survival and distant metastasis-free survival endpoints in a Phase III trial of over 1,100 high-risk melanoma patients, the first positive Phase III readout for any personalised neoantigen vaccine.

Moderna shares closed up 177% and MSD up 12.6%, with spillover gains across AI-pharma names: Recursion (+13.3%), Schrödinger (+12.3%), and Hong Kong-listed AI platforms XtalPi (+14%) and METiS (+30%). The result validates a development paradigm – computational target or antigen identification, in silico molecular design, and experimental clinical confirmation – that overlaps with, but is not identical to, classical AI drug discovery.
