Following WuXi XDC's acquisition of a controlling stake (>60%) in Chinese compatriot TOT Biopharm in March 2026, the two companies have signed a series of service agreements, most notably a three‑tiered CDMO contract. The deal guarantees minimum service fees of RMB 92.5 million (USD 14 million) in 2026, RMB 257 million (USD 38 million) in 2027, and RMB 425 million (USD 63 million) in 2028, providing strong revenue visibility and a clear path to filling TOT's manufacturing capacity. The integration is expected to elevate TOT's quality standards, inject global client projects from WuXi XDC's extensive network, and transition its project mix towards higher‑value commercial‑stage work.
The move aligns with the surging demand for antibody‑drug conjugate (ADC) development and manufacturing. TOT's Suzhou facility, with 20,000 litres of antibody capacity and dedicated ADC production lines, is well‑positioned to benefit. The company already holds the commercial production contract for Lepu Biotech's EGFR ADC. By becoming a key node within WuXi XDC's global ADC supply chain, TOT is set to transition from a regional CDMO to a globally integrated player with a more profitable and stable business model.
