The asset is built on Gan & Lee's NovaPeptide platform for extended half-life engineering and SupOraTide for oral peptide absorption, pairing the efficacy and tolerability profile of injectable incretins with a once-weekly, injection-free schedule that removes the daily-fasting constraints of Novo Nordisk's Wegovy pill – which in the first half of 2026 sold roughly USD 850 million in the US alone – and the daily-dosing friction of Lilly's orforglipron.

The obesity pharmacotherapy market is forecast to exceed USD 100 billion by 2030, and the competitive frontier has shifted from needle-free to fewer doses per week as 2026 Chinese guidance reframes obesity care as lifelong maintenance rather than episodic reduction.
