MagicRNA has completed a Series B round of several hundred million RMB led by CICC Capital and Bayland Capital. Founded in December 2021, the company has solved the extrahepatic non-APC mRNA delivery problem via its engineered cell-targeted lipid nanoparticle platform, enabling the lead in vivo CAR-T candidate HN2301 to become the first globally to enter human testing (Q1 2025 in systemic lupus erythematosus).

HN2301 has dosed dozens of autoimmune patients across dose cohorts with no hepatotoxicity and no cytokine release syndrome above grade 2, and preliminary NEJM-published data show deep peripheral and tissue B-cell depletion translating into sustained clinical remission, with updated cohorts showing further efficacy gains.
