Novo Nordisk has obtained a preliminary injunction from the District Court of The Hague against Ceban Ziekenhuisfarmacie B.V., ordering the immediate cessation of sales of a compounded semaglutide nasal spray that infringed the company's supplementary protection certificate covering semaglutide.

The court found that Ceban violated Novo's intellectual property rights and ordered removal of the product from listings and websites, disclosure of supply chain information, and reimbursement of legal costs. No regulatory authority has approved a semaglutide nasal spray formulation.

The ruling reinforces Novo Nordisk's enforcement strategy against unapproved compounded GLP-1 products, which bypass EMA, FDA, and equivalent agency review for safety, efficacy, and manufacturing consistency.
