CStone Expands Into Autoimmunity With Two Novel BsAbs

China-based CStone Pharmaceuticals unveiled two bispecific antibodies (BsAbs) on 3 July, marking its entry into autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. CS2013 targets B-cell activating factor (BAFF) and a proliferation-inducing ligand (APRIL), while CS2015 inhibits OX40 ligand (OX40L) and thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP). Both molecules exhibit extended half-life and subcutaneous dosing potential in pre-clinical studies.

The announcement drove CStone's shares up 9.55%, reflecting market optimism about its pipeline diversification. CS2015 represents a potential first-in-class dual inhibitor of Th2 inflammation pathways. The company plans to initiate investigational new drug (IND) preparations in late 2025. This expansion complements CStone's oncology pipeline, including global-phase assets like ROR1 antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) CS5001 and PD-1/VEGFA/CTLA-4 trispecific CS2009.
