Hansoh, Roche Form USD 15.5bn ADC Partnership

China-based Hansoh Pharma has entered a strategic ADC collaboration with Roche covering a portfolio of antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) programmes: two Hansoh preclinical ADC assets plus multiple projects built on Hansoh's proprietary ADC platform against targets proposed by Roche.

Hansoh will lead early development through completion of global Phase Ia studies, after which Roche takes forward further development and commercialisation outside mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, while Hansoh retains the right to designate up to two programmes for co-development involvement outside Greater China and to capture additional US commercial returns on those assets.

The financial package is striking: USD 400 million upfront, USD 110 million on the first anniversary and more than USD 15 billion in potential development, regulatory and commercial milestones plus tiered royalties, making this one of the largest Chinese-outlicensed ADC frameworks by headline value.
