Johnson & Johnson (J&J) announced Q3 revenue of USD 23.99 billion representing 6.8% growth, with nine-month total reaching USD 69.63 billion driven by innovative medicine sales of USD 44.64 billion and the medical technology segment contributing USD 23.67 billion. The oncology portfolio led performance with 21.2% increase to USD 18.52 billion fuelled by daratumumab, apalutamide and ciltacabtagene autoleucel, which doubled sales to USD 1.33 billion. Neuroscience division grew 7.2%, with esketamine nasal spray reaching USD 1.19 billion.
The company concurrently revealed plans to spin off its orthopaedics business as an independent entity named DePuy Synthes under global president Namal Nawana, following USD 9.2 billion revenue in 2024. The immunology segment declined 12.7% to USD 11.87 billion due to ustekinumab biosimilar competition, with sales falling 39.5% to USD 4.85 billion, partially offset by guselkumab's 31.0% growth to USD 3.57 billion. J&J raised full-year revenue guidance to 4.8% to 5.3% growth, targeting USD 93.0 billion to 93.4 billion.
